O&M Support for .NET and O365

Government .NET O365

The Challenge: Legacy .NET Apps in Production

The customer had a suite of .NET and Microsoft 365 applications running in production that required modernization. The .NET applications were targeting .NET Core 3.1, which was approaching end-of-life. Continuing to operate on an unsupported framework would introduce security vulnerabilities and limit the team's ability to leverage newer platform capabilities. The SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts and React applications in the portfolio also needed to be brought up to current supported versions.

The Solution: An Upgrade Path to LTS With Zero Downtime

We worked alongside the agency's internal team and our GovCon partners to lead the modernization effort. This included upgrading .NET applications to current long-term support (LTS) versions, updating SPFx web parts to supported SharePoint Framework versions, and bringing React applications up to current standards. The upgrades were executed with zero downtime, ensuring continuity of operations throughout the transition.

The Results: Apps That Are Easier To Maintain

All applications were successfully upgraded and deployed to production without disruption. The effort eliminated technical debt and addressed security vulnerabilities associated with the outdated frameworks. The applications are now positioned for future enhancements and long-term maintainability, giving the agency a stable foundation to build on.
